Gas turbine plant will be built at Nizhnekamsk CHP
Nizhnekamsk. OOO Nizhnekamsk CHP (part of the TATNEFT Group since 2010) has been included in the federal program for the modernization of power generation facilities using the DPM-bar arrangement within a project to install a gas turbine.
The project envisages the construction of a 155 megawatts domestically manufactured gas turbine with a waste heat boiler. Subsequently, this will allow decommissioning of the existing steam turbine PT-135/165, which has been used up. As upgrading result will ensure the increase in installed capacity by 20 megawatts. The transition to the combined-cycle steam-gas technology will allow reducing the cost of electricity generated.
The project of modernization of OOO Nizhnekamsk CHP has been developed in accordance with the concept of modernizing thermal power plants of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 43 of January 25, 2019. The project fully complies with the requirements of the Government of Russia on the localization of equipment production and the import substitution program. The use of a domestic gas turbine will significantly reduce the cost of building and operating a gas turbine plant.
Preliminary feasibility study of the project has been developed. Completion of construction is planned in 2024.
