Zarubezhneft JSC publishes the report on sustainable development for 2017

Moscow. Zarubezhneft JSC publishes the Report on Sustainable Development according to the results of 2017. The report was prepared by the Company taking into account the recommendations of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and is dedicated to reviewing the economic, production and social resources needed to create a sustainable platform for the long-term development of the Zarubezhneft Group of Companies within the framework of the second phase implementation of the Strategy, launched in 2017.

Special attention is paid to the traditionally significant aspects of activities in the field of ecology and industrial safety for all production companies. The priorities of the Company are provided, showing the contribution to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. For the first time, the content of the Report on Sustainable Development has been optimized taking into account the information disclosed in the Annual Report for 2017. This made it possible to achieve a high level of detailing of significant indicators. Such an integrated approach to disclosure provides a comprehensive view of the Company and significantly expands the range of the parties concerned.

Continuous improvement of the quality of information disclosure in the field of sustainable development allowed Zarubezhneft JSC to become one of the leaders in the indices of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) in the field of sustainable development - Responsibility and Openness and Vector of Sustainable Development. “Responsibility and openness” reflects the situation in the field of disclosure of information on sustainable development and corporate responsibility, and the "vector of sustainable development" is demonstrated by the index of performance dynamics of companies in this area, which assesses the direction of changes in key socio-economic and environmental indicators over several years.
